MOTA provides different services to
citizens and businesses; this section focuses on the
Licensing service provided throughout
Tourism Law.
MOTA is responsible for
administrative tasks related to the issuance of tourism
licenses, follow-up with the licensing procedures
comprising preliminary approvals, renewal, amendment and
cancellation.
Each and every tourism
facility must be licensed by MOTA in order to market or
sell its services.

controlled and monitored by the Tourism Law

In the process of
issuing a license, the tourism facility must go through
a fixed set of procedures explained in detail in the
Tourism Law, and clarified further in the Services Guide
Document designed by the Professions Department at MOTA.
All procedures and Licensing steps, along with lists of
required identification papers to submit with the
application are included in the Services Guide, and
loaded on MOTA web site as a first step to ease the
process of getting a license for the facility, with
downloadable versions of MOTA templates and formal
papers.
MOTA is eager to
ease the Licensing process by providing it as an
e-service, MOTA responsibilities towards its customers
include:
Simplifying
procedures in a practical way meeting the general
system requirements and quality criteria as well as
the customers' interest in accordance with the MOTA’s
general policies.
Following-up
with the tourism licenses according to the Tourism
laws and Administrative Orders while observing the
Arabic and Islamic traditions and values.
Contacting
other Government Departments, when necessary.
